A very late Happy Holidays and New Year's wishes to you all!!! I am as usual very sorry for the non-activeness of this account- I just got a new job back in November so I am back in Animal Medicine and am loving it- but am putting in 50+ hours a week between 2 clinics (they are from the same company, I just float between the 2) my fiance also got a new job back at the beginning of December; so things have been very hectic in our lives re-adjusting and new adjusting to the schedules and what not~

There is not much on the cosplay front for me unfortunately- this is the year I am going to be planning my wedding (no we don't have an official date yet ) and also doing the "grown up" stuff like getting into a house and out of apartments, working our jobs and bodies to the bone and SAVING for the wedding/trips/life lol

My subscription is going to run out in about a week, so if my page changes and my journals have no design to them that is why; alas I don't have the money to spare right now to re-new my subscription that I have had consistently for the last 5 years, but thus is life right?

Thank you for all your support- I don't even know if anyone follows me on here anymore, I don't get comments or responses to polls or questions on the journals as well, so yeah. Kind of a bummer, but it is my fault for not keeping up with this hobby I had set such high sights and priorities for- and then life came and was like "cosplay? what is that shit? you don't have time for something you love!" *life proceeds to kick cosplay out the window and throw work,bills, and everything else in my lap instead of my fabric,sewing machine, thread, patters*

Again thank you for all you have done in support of my hobby- I hope to someday get back into it- I still will be attending Sakura-Con like I do every year, but other than that the rest is up in the air

Hello fellow DA artists/cosplayer's/authors and so on and so forth! I am here to make quite a large announcement on my part- I have decided to take my YouTube channel more seriously and take it in a TOTALLY new direction than cosplay- (fear not! I still have plans in the future to cosplay and i still love and miss it so very dearly) I have decided to do a re-vamp of my YouTube

First, the URL will still have HoshiAkita in in because I want those who have been following me to still know it is me! Second, I have changed the channel name and info to KlassyKarley- to be a bit more professional on the YT end of things and for those who follow me ONLY on YT for what my channel focus will be about~ I'm sure some of you have already seen and heard some of the videos I have already posted about my Breast Reduction Story and experience- I have decided to make it into a series of videos- I will link you to the short trailer explaining my channel and what I hope for it to become~

I have been approached by so many young women, girls and even men (don't be shy, its an issue for ALL sexes) and the questions just keep piling up- Never in my dreams did I think I would be able to help let alone one person but MANY by just sharing my story and simply answering questions to the best of my abilities! I AM IN NO WAY A DOCTOR OR HAVE CLAIMED TO KNOW EVERYTHING ABOUT THESE MEDICAL PROCEDURES! But I would like to help on the emotional side of the issue~ This has been a very taboo surgery up until the last 4 or 5 years and now that its becoming an "OK" topic among the community I want to do all i can to help~ So please check out my new channel! FEAR NOT! I am not excluding cosplayer's from my YT at ALL! Please ask me your questions as well! I would love to add into my mini series about binding, and cosplaying with a large chest, and what to do after the surgery- like "How long before I can bind again?" because I went back to cosplaying only 3 1/2 weeks after my surgery! So please feel free to ask!! I want to help everyone!!

I will still be posting cosplay related photos and journals here from now on so don't worry I have no turned my DA into anything but what it was meant for- my cosplay work

Soooooo, with the hiatus excuses lol BUT I have a better reason than "work, work, sleep, and work" as my excuse!

I AM ENGAGED!!!! Yes, I am engaged to the most amazing man I could have ever had put into my life~~ Senshi-Mikomi proposed to me while on a family vacation in Disneyland!

I will never forget the most magical day of my life on April 8, 2013!! I don't know how many of you on here follow my YouTube, but my amazing parents were able to catch the whole thing on video! I will post the link to my engagement video below~ I am also planning on making a video of all the photos and memories we made on that trip and hope to have it uploaded very soon~ I will put the link to that video once it is complete~

I don't normally get too personal here on my DA, is mostly for my cosplay and other strange adventures, but this, this is special and I want to tell the world how in love I am!

Thank you all for your patience as far as my cosplay goes, I still love cosplay and everything that comes along with it, but Life unfortunately pulled me away from this fun hobby, and now I have a wedding to plan as well~ FEAR NOT! I still don't plan to announce any time soon that I am no longer going to cosplay, I will- my Fiance and I have plans for PAX 2013 and will have at LEAST 2-3 new costumes for that convention

Thank you again to all my watchers/subscribers for hanging around even though nothing has happened in the last year or 2, but things will pick up a little here in the near future~~

Alas- I shall apologize at the beginning of the journal as I seem to to do at all of them when I post due to my hiatus- T.T I am so very sorry for the lack of photos and posts in general- my cosplay has been put on hold due to life, which is not nearly as fun as cosplay life XD

I decided the other day that my dev ID is so very old and I am in desperate need of a new one- so I figured that you are the ones viewing my page and you know what you like to see from me, so why not see if you wanted to make the ID for me? This is just an idea- if you would like to create an ID for me I would love to update mine! The competition will start today February 5th and will go through February 20th- I figure that will be plenty of time for people to read the journal and design it however you would like!! Feel free to use any cosplay photos of me you come across- wether it be through photographers or ones on my page!

Other than that my plan is to HOPEFULLY *crosses fingers* addend Emerald City Comic Con March 1st-3rd and after that is Sakura Con!! Then a family vacation to Disneyland in April~ SO EXCITEDDD!!! If you know me, you know I am a Disney freak XD

Well thats really all I have to update on for now- nothing new in my life, just work- and thats about it hah I will see if I can fish through my albums to see if I have anything I can post today to give you guys a journal and photo on the same day OMG ITS A MIRACLE I KNOW! O.O

HELLOOOOOOOOOO

I am once again sorry that I have been absent for so long Dx my life has been insanely busy the last few months what with getting our new apartment, traveling, working like a mad woman the list seems to go on and on

I did have a change to steal some time off of work to goto PAX this year pr usual! I cannot miss out on that due to my job and my obsession for video games The boyfriend ( Senshi-Mikomi )and I celebrate our yearly anniversary since it falls on the same week/weekend as PAX every year- this year he got me the most EPIC gift ever! A fill size, metal, replica of the Master Sword from Legend of Zelda: Twilight Princes- I squeeded so hard and just flat out fan-girled all over the place Also at PAX I met up with Starlla Miliway and NovemberAdam and got to love all over them for a few days, and caught a glimpse of Nani-Mizu and all over her lol

Overall PAX was awesome as per-usual- no cosplay's for me at this con this year due to money going into our new place (aka rent, furniture, new schtuff for the place )

I have decided that am going to sit down and reply to all the comments made on my DA- wether it be on a photo, or just a comment in general. I have been very bad at responding to all of your lovely comments and feedback on my costumes and such.  I am so very sorry- but I will make it up to all of you by replying to every single one! I know I have been on a Hiatus off and on for the past year- but I want you all to know how appreciative I am of you love and support and I don't want to lose that due to lack of commitment- SO I SHALL SAY IT NOW! I am committing to making sure i respond to all comments and questions in a very timely manner! I want to make new friends and this is a great way to do so!!
